The latest high-end model Google Chromebook Pixel is a sweet machine with a sour pricetag, if you where ready to spend about 1200$ I wouldn’t do that on a Chromebook at this time.

The most important thing with the Google Chromebook Pixle is that Google really puts their money and time where there mouth is with ChromeOS.

Even though my economy doesn’t support buying an Pixel I have to aim for something more feasible. This week when I saw an review of the Toshiba Chromebook 2 that recently found its way to Sweden it sounded like an reasonable compromise for trying out Googles Operating System.

I will probably write a couple of posts here regarding my impressions of ChromeOS as well as the things I find useful. But first things first, what do I think about the Toshiba Chromebook 2 ?

The first thing that stroke me was the form-factor, it’s quite perfect, it resembles the style of the Macbook Air. It has a reasonable good touch-pad and keyboard and an amazing display for the price, its an IPS pannel with 1920x1080 pixels. All in all it’s a clean machine that suites most of the things I’m looking for as a “Terminal Client”.

This is the first post on the new MVL blog. I don't have that many updates more than information about my new apartment, it's awesome!

The drawback with the new apartment is that I had to do some prioritization, the MVL is going up as the last thing (otherwise I wouldn't put any time and effort into the other things) :) Hopefully I will start to deploy / develop some hydration / cluster scripts etc. in the end of the year / beginning of next year. Stay tuned.
